Editorial:
We had some good news in the Village yesterday, the NHS support mechanisms finally caught up with one of our vulnerable residents. She hadn't received an isolation letter, in spite of clearly being in the category. She couldn't get supermarket delivery slots, and so Candy has been helping her out.
Candy chased the GP who was adamant that she should have had a letter and then supplied a replacement. We used this to register her 2 weeks ago. Yesterday Northamptonshire County Council rang me to say that she was now registered as needing support from them and Tesco contacted her to offer priority delivery slots. Finally things are in place.
We are not aware of any other outstanding cases. Please let us know if we have missed anyone.
Yesterday wasn't a good one at Chelston Rise. The Gigaclear contractors caught a water main that was in a different place from that shown on the plans and not at the correct depth. So the torrential rain was supplemented by a new stream of water running down the road.

Nationally:
- 674 deaths were reported by the Government yesterday using their new measures taking us to 26,771 across the UK. The number of new lab confirmed cases jumped significantly by 50% to 6,032. It is not clear whether this reflects the additional testing been done, or the consequence of the lock down weakening. Either way it is not good news at all.
Locally:
In Northamptonshire the figures continue to be corrected daily with the last figure available before last Monday at 12 infections confirmed. This too seems to be creeping up.
