Lots of technical hassles this morning. At 5am the servers refused to allow me access and technical support will only talk with Mark Hunter.

Yesterday was yet another busy day on the forum with swaps galore going on. I moved paint pots, garden table and chairs and two small chairs for children. All gratefully received.

There was lots of interest in the idea of a dance class after the lock down has finished. Ideas, included, jive, swing and lindy hop sessions in the Village Hall.

Meanwhile, there is litter to pick and a dog to walk! And then technical hassles to solve.

Today is the 149th anniversary of the birth of Miss Mary Helen Simpson M.B.E. of Chelveston.

  • UK reported hospital deaths from Covid-19 went up by 759 to 18,100. The number of new infections is still running at over 4,000 a day but there is some evidence the we are reaching the plateau for both deaths and infections. Our infection and death rate are now tracking Italy almost exactly. Both countries no longer have exponential growth and if the trends continue, the epidemic has now passed its peak.

This chart has aligned the epidemics from 4 countries with different approaches to the crisis.

The Northamptonshire figures yesterday again reported corrections to previous days and are now two days behind the National figures. We are still running at 20 infections a day.
